Dieselgate: The Movie

No, I’m not joking. Apparently even book rights were bought earlier this year and Jack Ewing of the New York Times will be writing it.

Paramount Pictures and Leonardo DiCaprio’s production company, Appian Way, have acquired that book proposal. The movie deal is attached to the book deal, according to Insider Car News.

Ewing has been covering dieselgate since it was picked up on in September. He’s also the European Correspondent for the New York Times.

Leonardo DiCaprio is an avid environmentalist, so it only makes sense he’d want to produce a movie like this. As for actors and directors, well, it’s a bit early for all that now.

I’m sure more detail will come in the future, but for now, Volkswagen has a lot of fallout to deal with.

*Writer’s Note* writing this, all I could think of was the pain, anger, and general dullness of HBO’s ‘Too Big to Fail’. Will this be the same?
