Lawrence Kennedy, a Montana ranch hand, was fined $400 for unlawfully harassing a grizzly bear (an endangered species). Federal officials found Kennedy’s video on Facebook in March and began their investigation. The ranch hand initially plead not guilty to violating the Endangered Species Act. In the end, he agreed to a plea agreement and was fined.
Kennedy’s defense was that he was chasing the bear away to protect a herd of cows. What do you think?
