Chevrolet Cobalt Recalled…Again

2010 Chevy Cobalt

Chevrolet has announced yet another recall for the 2010 Cobalt. No, it’s not related to the faulty ignition switches, but it’s still about the airbags. Way to go, Chevy!

Filings with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration state wiring harnesses that were improperly installed at the factory can rub against the window regulator, causing shorts and an airbag warning on the dash. 73,424 total cars are affected, 59,474 in the US, with build dates between January 4 and June 23, 2010.

GM has not said how many cars had already been repaired or how many injuries have been reported. GM began investigating the problem in January after the company decided to look at warranty for the sensors and wiring harnesses.

Wow, GM. What’s going on over there?
