Each year, the Academy Awards pulls in millions of viewers that tune in to see the world’s biggest stars all dolled up for the cameras. This spike in viewers also pulls in some of the world’s wildest and most extravagant ads.
This year, Cadillac decided that they were going to join the bonanza by dropping their latest ad, which they have already uploaded to Youtube. In the ad, entitled Dare Greatly, we never see a shot of any of Cadillac’s products. Bizarre, right?
Instead, Cadillac decided to go with a voice over as the camera pans over slow-motion shots of New York City from inside of the vehicle. In a move that is atypical in today’s smearing campaign world, the ads spokesman channels a riveting lecture from president Teddy Roosevelt.
Check it out and let us know what you think of the ad… innovative or idiotic?
