Chevy Announces 2015 Silverado Midnight Edition

Earlier this month at the Detroit Auto Show, GM went all in on the blacked-out custom pickup look by debuting the GMC Canyon Nightfall Edition and the Chevy Silverado Custom Sport. Well , guess what? They weren’t finished!

Yesterday, Chevy dropped a couple of photos of their all-new Chevy Silverado Midnight Edition, which is set to debut next month at the Chicago Auto Show. This truck, as seen in the photos, will feature an all black trim on the grille, bumpers, headlamp bezels, tow hooks, fog lamps, side and beltline moldings, 19-inch wheels, bedliner, and bowtie emblems. Whew, that’s a lot of damn black!!

Asilvs far as the rest of the package goes, the Midnight will be based on the Silverado 1500 with the Z71 package. According to Chevy, there will only be 5,000 of these beasts produced this year, each of which will have a premium set between $1,595 and $1,995.

Buyers will be able to choose between double or crew cab models and can also expect a package that features off-road suspension, locking rear differential, hill-descent control and a trailering pack.

“The Midnight special edition, like our recently announced Custom Sport Silverado, lets our dealers offer a custom look right from the factory,” said Sandor Piszar, Silverado marketing director, in an official press release. “Customers can get a monochrome exterior, black alloy wheels and other uplevel touches, while maintaining all of the dependability Chevy trucks are famous for along with full factory warranty coverage.”
