The 2014 holiday season has just ended. That means no more outrageous, near-overdose amounts of family, food, and partying. It also means that the roads will go back to being a little safer, too.
The most dangerous of all the holiday days, without a doubt, is the New Year’s Eve/ New Year’s day time slot. According to SafeAuto.com, there are actually 71% more crashes with drugs or alcohol as a contributing factor between December 31st at 6pm and January 1st at 6am. That’s a huge spike. If you survived this holiday season (that means surviving family, too), be thankful because that is the greatest of all blessings.
