Ram Unveils New Chromed Out 2015 Ram Laramie at Chicago Auto Show

Dodge is at once again. Following the debut of their Ram Rebel at the Detroit Auto Show earlier this year, Dodge has now launched another variant truck– the 2015 Ram Laramie.

Unlike other “heavy duty” Ram trucks, the Laramie is living proof that today’s truck market has moved in a more luxurious direction.

“The Laramie Limited is for truck owners who want to be able to take their wife out to dinner in a luxury vehicle at night but still have a truck that’s tough,” said Bob Hegbloom, president and CEO of the Ram brand for Fiat Chrysler Automobiles, in an interview with the Detroit Free Press.

“These are the people who … own the company, the guy who is in the boardroom all day but he wants to brag to his buddies,” Hegbloom added.

As part of the Laramie’s new design, the interior will feature Argento wood, all-black full-leather seating, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, real wood interior components, and badges that proclaim the truck to be a “black-tie” luxury beast.

As far as the exterior goes, the Laramie borrows much of its styling from the previously released Ram Rebel. Only, instead of the Rebel’s black finish, the Laramie leans more in a chrome direction with the bumper, grille, wheels, and side steps all blinged out.

According to Dodge, the Ram 1500 Laramie will ready to go on sale by June 30th and will have the package ready for the Ram 2500 and Ram 3500 by the fall. The exterior will be available in seven color choices, including Brilliant Black, Bright Silver Metallic, Pearl White, Red Pearl, Granite Crystal Metallic, Maximum Steel Metallic and True Blue Pearl.

There’s no word on the price yet, but most are expecting a price tag upwards of $50,000. But that should be no surprise, right? After all, this is a “luxury” truck.
