When to Install a Snorkel on Your Jeep

jeep-snorkel-failOff-roading and adventure riding is what owning a Jeep is all about. Unfortunately, the fun stops for most 4wheelers when you get to a large swamp bog or river crossing. But, if you have a snorkel air intake installed, capable tires and big set of cojones, you can just romp right in to the water without the fear of locking up your engine with a combustion chamber full of muddy water.
A snorkel intake system allows the air to enter the engine from a raised air-induction system that is installed near the vehicles roofline. Even if your hood goes underwater, your engine shouldn’t suck in any water when you’re crossing a bog. For more information on snorkels, Click Here.
